Plain English
PolicyPack is a technology platform, not a law firm. The documents we generate are templates — you must have a competent person review them before adoption. Pay only what you see, no hidden fees.1. Agreement
These terms form a binding agreement between PolicyPack Pty Ltd (“PolicyPack”) and the legal entity creating an order (“you”). By using the service you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. The service
PolicyPack provides AI-engineered compliance document templates based on inputs you supply. We offer three plans:
- Single Pack — one-time fee, 30-day data retention, full document set delivered as PDF + ZIP.
- Vault — adds indefinite retention, unlimited re-downloads, and versioned audit log.
- Subscription — adds regulatory monitoring, alerts, and automatic regeneration when relevant law changes.
3. Not a law firm
PolicyPack is a software service. Use of the service does not create a solicitor–client relationship. Documents are templates and do not constitute legal advice. You must have a competent person within your business — and where appropriate, an Australian-qualified lawyer — review the documents before adoption.
4. Payment
Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST where applicable. Single Pack is a one-time charge. Vault and Subscription are recurring charges that auto-renew until cancelled. You authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge your nominated payment method on each renewal date.
5. Refunds
We offer a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet downloaded your generated pack. After download, refunds are at our discretion and assessed case-by-case. Subscription cancellations stop future renewals; we do not pro-rate the current period.
6. Ownership of generated documents
Once your pack is generated and paid for, you own the rendered output for use within your business. PolicyPack retains ownership of the underlying template framework, prompt engineering, and software.
7. Acceptable use
Your use is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Breaches may result in suspension or termination without refund.
8. Warranties & disclaimers
We warrant that we will provide the service with due care and skill. Subject to non-excludable Australian Consumer Law guarantees, the service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that documents will be accepted by every regulator, insurer, or principal-contractor; acceptance is ultimately a matter of your operations and the reviewer's judgement.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PolicyPack's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is capped at the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profits, goodwill, or data, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate for material breach if not remedied within 14 days of written notice. You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email and in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
