This page explains the cookies, local-storage entries, and similar technologies we use on getpolicypacks.com, why we use them, and how to change your preferences. It is referenced by our Privacy Policy and supports our obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles and the Spam Act 2003.
Plain English
PolicyPack respects your Do Not Track signal. If your browser is set to DNT we record an essential-only choice on first visit and do not show the consent banner.
The three categories.
Essential
Cookies and local-storage items strictly necessary for authentication, fraud prevention, secure checkout, and remembering your in-progress compliance pack so you can leave and come back. Without these the product does not function — they cannot be disabled.
- sb-* · Supabase session tokens that keep you signed in.
- pp-build-state · localStorage entry holding the half-completed build flow so you can resume.
- pp-consent · your own consent choice — yes, the consent record is itself a cookie.
- Stripe checkout cookies set on stripe.com when you proceed to pay.
Analytics
Product analytics via PostHog. We capture pseudonymous events about which features you use so we can prioritise improvements. We do not sell, share, or join analytics data to advertisers. You can decline this category and the product remains fully functional.
- ph_* · PostHog autocapture identifiers and event queue.
Functionality
Preferences saved across visits — your light / dark theme, the industry filter you last viewed on the marketing site, the document editor focus position. Declining this category means the site looks the same on every visit; nothing breaks.
- pp-theme · light / dark / system.
Changing your preferences.
Click the button below to re-open the preference panel. You can also clear our cookies entirely via your browser; on your next visit the banner will appear again.
Third parties.
We use Supabase (database + auth), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Sentry (error monitoring), Vercel (hosting), and PostHog (product analytics). Each operates under their own privacy policy. Essential and security-related cookies set by these vendors are required for the product to function and persist regardless of your analytics choice.
